Bye, bye dandruff

Dandruff isn’t a problem for me, but if it was, I’d spring for Pureology’s new DandruffScalpCure shampoo and conditioner. The products have zero sulfates and up to 2 percent pyrithione zinc which help fight scaling, itching and flaking associated with dandruff.

Another plus: the AntiFade Complex and zero sulfate formulas extend color life. That means fewer trips to your favorite colorist. Or to Wal-mart to pick up your favorite shade of Miss Clairol.

I’ve used Pureology products for several years. Sometimes I drift away, tempted by a sweet smelling lather or a hyped gel,  but I always come back — and wonder why I strayed. Probably it’s because Pureology products aren’t cheap. Neither is the new dandruff formula. A 10-ounce bottle is $35; 2 ounces, $10.
