Von Maur department store coming to Quail Springs
Anyone familiar withVon Maur department stores? One is coming to Oklahoma City in the space formerly occupied by Sears at Quail Springs Mall. An opening is expected in fall 2014.
Von Maur offers brand name and specialty apparel, shoes, accessories and gifts. Brands include Eileen Fisher, Free People, Joe’s Jeans, Tommy Bahama and Coach. The chain is also known for its customer service, including an interest-free charge card, liberal return policy, free gift wrapping and shipping services.
There’s a Von Maur store in Wichita, Kan. I visited it a couple of years ago and liked what I saw, though I didn’t have much time to shop.
The two-level space in Oklahoma City will receive a complete renovation to showcase Von Maur’s signature with an exterior brick facade and residential ambiance, antiques, original artwork, open-floor plan and music from the store’s grand piano.
Von Maur was founded nearly 140 years ago in downtown Davenport, Iowa. The Company currently operates 27 stores in 11 states.
