Pucker up to these lipsticks and lip glosses

I’m going to treat myself to a new lipgloss or lipstick this weekend. Recently, I asked four local makeup artists to share their favorite shades for the season. I probably won’t splurge on all four, but I’m not making any promises.

“One of my favorites is Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in Rose Petal. It has enough pigment and shine to it, and it hydrates. It has peptides that increase the moisture in your lips. It’s about two shades richer than most women’s natural lip color.” — Jennifer Gordon, cosmetics manager for Balliet’s

“Two from  Laura Mercier are Stickgloss Lip Colour in Rosewater and a lipstick called Coral. These are beautiful shades and happy, and say we’re ready to move into another season.” –Elizabeth Farris, cosmetics consultant at Cayman’s, Norman

“There’s a new pink color from NARS called Easy Lover, and it’s such a good color. It’s so pretty, and it’s a really shiny gloss. It’s hot pink, but really sheer … not South Miami Beach retirement home hot pink.” —  Alex Mendez-Kelley, owner of The MakeUp Bar

“A favorite lip gloss for spring is called Trophy Wife. It’s the perfect pink gloss, the perfect soft pink with enough color and a little shimmer. It’s really pretty.” – Lilly Stone,  owner of  Sooo Lilly
