Mango bringing fast fashion to JC Penney stores

Watch out Target,  H&M and Zara.

Later this fall, JC Penney will ramp up its fast fashion offerings with a launch of mini Mango boutiques within some of  its stores, including the Penn Square Mall location in Oklahoma City.

MNG by Mango is described as high quality, affordable European runway fast fashion. New merchandise will arrive twice monthly. Penney’s already has ALLEN B, I Heart Ronson and Bisou Bisou. 

MNG by Mango focuses on contemporary career and casual offerings, as well as handbags, accessories and footwear. The brand falls into Penney’s “better” and “best” pricing tiers with items retailing from $9.90 to $19.90 for a T-shirt to $59.90 to $159.90 for a jacket.

The brand is already available on jcp.com. It will launch in 77 JC Penney stores across the country and will expand into 600 stores by fall 2011.
