Fashion Night Out OKC celebrates fashion
Celebrate fashion. That’s the premise of Fashion Night Out OKC on Friday, part of a global initiative in cities big and small around the world.
More than 40 locally owned stores, including several restaurants, are participating in Oklahoma City’s inaugural event from 5 to 8 p.m. Many stores are offering special events and refreshments.
Fashion’s Night Out started last year in New York City to promote fashion and the industry, but people and stores in other cities didn’t want to be left out. Now Oklahoma City is on the stage, so get ready to shop and celebrate.
Here’s a little of what you can expect: Free fall makeovers at The MakeUp Bar; a children’s red carpet event at Uptown Kids; informal modeling, gift with purchase and balloon pop for discounts at C/K & Co.; and at A Date With Iris, flower fashions, hat and accessory designs by Lydia Sullivan, ”La Vie Bohem” jewelry by by Mango Tree and a preview fashion party by The Remarkable Shop.
A special T-shirt will be for sale, with sales benefiting The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.
