April is going to be a good month for fashion … at least in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma Fashion Week kicks off its first annual event April 14-20 with fashion shows featuring local and regional established and emerging designers, a student show and other presentations. Events will be at venues in Oklahoma City and Stillwater.
With the theme Fashion for a Purpose, the event will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma City Police Athletic League.
The week of events will begin with an opening ceremony and culminate with a red carpet event from 7 to 11 p.m. on April 20 at Cotter Ranch Tower. In between will be a Koslow’s Furs trunk show, fashion art show, Little Black Dress presentation, meet the designers event and Orange Carpet Euphoria Fashion Show on the OSU campus in Stillwater. And, of course, there will be nightly fashion shows.
Oklahoma Fashion Week was created to help develop the state’s fashion consciousness and to bring attention to student, emerging and established designers who want to showcase their work.
