Princess Beatrice's hat sold for $131,000 on eBay.

Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding hat sold for $131,000 on eBay. Designed by Philip Treacy, the hat was the subject of jokes and snickers around the world.  Beatrice is the daughter of Princess Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.

Proceeds from the auction will go to UNICEF and Children in Crisis.

After the sale ended, Beatrice said:  “It has its own personality, and I am so happy that we have raised the most incredible amount of money and can make an even bigger change for the lives of some of the most vulnerable children across the world.”
