Jessica Simpson’s latest venture is Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, a diamond jewelry collection scheduled to land in Zales stores in October.
Last month, Zales announced that designer Vera Wang would design a line of wedding and engagement rings to be sold at the stores.
Simpson became popular as a singer, actress and reality star, but she really hit the mark in fashion. She already has mass appeal with a fashion empire estimated to be worth $1 billion. The Jessica Simpson Collection includes shoes, apparel, accessories and fragrances.
Her fine jewelry collection, offered in gold, silver, diamonds or a combination of the three, will range in price from $79 to $999, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
“Jewelry is such personal expression of style and taste. This collection has allowed me to create pieces that truly reflect who I am, and that can become a keepsake for lifetime,” Simpson told WWD, noting that the loops on the heart are taken from her actual script handwriting. “The collection is beautifully crafted. The designs are airy and artistic and so easy to wear.”
