I went on the search for a new polish recently, and I came home with two — Essie Head Mistress and Essie Demure Vix. I tend to wear pretty in pink shades from about March through September (except during football games when I reach for orange), so I was ready for a change. Never mind that I already have at least two dozen bottles of nail polish in my bathroom.  I wanted another one.

Anyway, I was looking for more of a neutral  for my fingernails, thus the Demure Vix, which Essie describes as an iridescent cocoa mauve. It’s a nice soft shade that looks clean and stylish.  My toenails got jazzed up with Head Mistress, a dark cherry that will also look good on my fingernails.

Oh, I forgot about another  new color I tried — Good as Gold by Essie. It tended to chip more easily than some of the other colors. At least on me.

Do you have a favorite or a new favorite as we go into fall?
