Whitney Houston sued by her stepmother

Pop singer Whitney Houston is being sued by a family member–her stepmother.

Barbara Houston is claiming that Whitney improperly kept the $1 million from her late father’s life insurance policy.

The stepmother said Whitney was supposed to use that $1 million and pay off the mortgage on her dad’s home then return the remaining money to her.

The stepmother is still living in the home.  Although this lawsuit will drag out in court for several months or years, I think the judge should dismiss the suit.

Obviously, if Whitney’s father wanted his wife to have the insurance policy money, then he would have put his wife’s name as the beneficiary instead of Whitney.
