Two men ran from police responding to a call about a home burglary in progress Thursday, police said.

Warr Acres police were called about 2:40 p.m. to 5913 NW 72, police Lt. Matt Berger said.

“One of the suspects was captured fairly quickly,” Berger said. “The other one led them on a hunt for quite some time, jumping fences, hiding in houses.”

Residents were advised to stay inside during the roughly hourlong manhunt. Police at one point thought a shot had been fired, but it wasn't clear whether that was related to the chase, Berger said.

Police arrested the second suspect after he jumped out of the window of a home were he was hiding, Berger said.

Police arrested Rick Ezekiel, 20, and Brent McGee, 19, on burglary complaints, Berger said.
