This could get nasty …

Lisa T. Jackson, who used to work at a Savannah, Ga., restaurant co-owned by Paula Deen, filed a lawsuit this week against the TV cook, accusing her of condoning an atmosphere of sexual harassment and racism. Among the charges in the 33-page civil complaint:

–Paula’s brother, Earl W. “Bubba” Hiers, the restaurant’s co-owner, forcibly kissed Jackson’s cheek and spit on her and repeatedly used racial epithets.

–Paula told Jackson, who was in charge of the food for Hiers’ 2007 wedding, that she wanted a “true Southern plantation-style wedding.” Using a racial epithet, the lawsuit alleges, Paula suggested African Americans that would “wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties. You know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around…. Now that would be a true Southern wedding, wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.”

No word from Paula’s camp on the claims.
