Oklahoman former pop star Bryan Abrams arrested (again)
HONOLULU (AP) Authorities say a singer with the 1990s R&B band Color Me Badd has been arrested in Hawaii following a fight with his wife.
Honolulu police say 40-year-old Bryan Abrams was arrested Tuesday after getting into an argument with his wife and throwing her across the room.
Abrams was arrested on suspicion of harassment, and released on his own recognizance.
Color Me Badd performed a concert in Honolulu on Saturday.
Abrams was one of the founding members of the Oklahoma-based quartet. The band’s hits include “All 4 Love” and “I Adore Mi Amore.”
Just add this arrest to Abrams’ list…. here’s an excerpt from a story published in The Oklahoman, Sept. 9, 2008.
Former Color Me Badd singer Bryan Abrams was arrested Friday on charges of public drunkenness and domestic abuse.
Abrams, 38, is accused of punching a woman in the nose and threatening her, saying “I’m a kill you. You and me. You and me,” according to a police report.
The singer could not be reached Monday because he was in jail. His wife, who asked not to be identified, answered the telephone Monday but would not comment on the incident.
The woman Abrams is accused of hitting was not identified by police.
He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail.
Abrams was arrested on charges of drunken driving in 2005 and 2006.
Abrams accepted a deferred sentence in February 2007 for a domestic abuse charge in Cleveland County.
