Madonna and Lola: calling all 'Material Girls'
Are you then next “it” girl? If so, Madonna and her daughter, Lola, are desperately seeking you. The original “Material Girls” are out to find some real girls to represent their Material Girl brand in a spring-summer 2012 marketing campaign.
The “Lucky Stars” model search will be held at Macy’s stores in various cities in November. The good news: you don’t have to be a classically tall, slim, hungry looking model. In a statement, Madonna and Lola said, “It’s more about attitude. We are looking for a stylish, adventurous, creative, free spirits.”
10 finalists will get to meet Lola and the chance to appear in the marketing campaign. And each winner will receive a $5,000 prize.
If you want to audition, bring a photo of yourself to one of the auditions and be ready to tell the judging panel, led by Kelly Osbourne, why you’re the next Material Girl. You can also apply online by uploading your photo to
www.materialgirlcollection.com and explain in 100 words or less why you should be chosen.
Here are the dates and locations of the open calls, in case you or someone you know feels like she’s got what it takes to be the next Material Girl.
