PARTIES EXTRA: APRIL 4,2007
A BARKING GOOD TIME

Danny Straka poses with his English Spring Spaniel “Cole,” father of the dogs; Tom Adler has “Maizie”, the mother, and “Pearl Snap”; Jimmy Johnson shows “Roxie,” one of the puppies, and Paule Marx has “Zoe” and “Johnson.”
Sheli and Tom Adler, avid dog lovers, hosted a doggy reunion, March 31 in their backyard. Several generations of English Springer Spaniels, most black and white, and their owners, were the special guests.
Parents Maizie Mae Coal (the Adlers’ dog) and Black “ Coal” Bradshaw, owned by Danny Straka, were among the 14 dogs ranging from 8 weeks to 4 years old.
They all enjoyed homemade dog biscuits and peanut butter paws, snickerpoodles, and fresh breath bone treats made by the chefs at “What’s Cooking.” Sheli Adler owns the catering business and take- out food store and five of the cooks have the puppies. The Adlers have given all but one of the puppies to their friends.
“Everyone we invited to the party, came to it, “ Host Tom Adler noted. “Maizie and Coal have had four litters. She is brown and white and he is black and white and all of the 25 puppies have been black and white.”
