Parties Extra!---April 6, 2008---Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame Honors Nine Journalists
WINNERS….Nine Journalists were inducted into the 38th Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame on April 4. Honorees were William P. Bleakley, Gerry Bonds, Ann DeFrange, Donna Barron Evers, Bill Harper, Lindel G.Hutson, Paul B. Southerland, Barbara A. Walter and Bill Walter.
They were introduced at a luncheon for 250 people at the University Center of the University of Central Oklahoma. Members of the Mass Communication department, UCO President Dr. Roger Webb and UCO Mass Communication head Dr. Terry M. Clark were hosts.
Oklahoma Press Association director Mark Thomas introduced guests and past honorees and was in charge of the inductions.
The Oklahoman’s very talented photographer Paul B. Southerland and very creative writer Ann DeFrange were inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame.
