Jean Bonney McGill, Tulsa, was given The American Cancer Society Lifetime Achievement Award for 34 years of dedication to the Society and the fight against cancer. McGill, a native of Oklahoma City, Classen High School and University of Oklahoma graduate, will be presented the Award at the 2008 Cattle Baron’s Ball on May 17 in Tulsa.

She has been on the board of directors of the former Heartland Division, as well as on the National board of directors as treasurer. She and her husband, Jim, were honorary Baron’s Ball chairmen in 2007.

The award recognizes volunteers in the Society’s High Plains Division, which includes Kansas, Hawaii, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas.
