RX: PARTY….New Oklahoma County Medical Society President Dr. D. Robert McCaffree and his wife Dr. Mary Anne McCaffree were honorees at a black- tie dinner at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.

Dr. Robert McCaffree is Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Section professor at the University of Oklahoma and Chief of Staff of the Oklahoma City Veterans Administration Medical Center.He was a founding member and initial chairman of the Oklahoma County Hospice board and the Oklahoma Hospice Foundation.
The event also featured an informal “roast” of the new president and the passing of the president’s gavel. Burns Hargis and Mike Turpen conducted the “roast.”A string quartet played during the cocktail hour. Kathy Bookman was the OCMS Alliance chairman of the dinner.
Black and white tablecloths were used and white candles and tall bouquets of calla lilies and of hydrangeas and lilies were on the tables. Flowers from the dinner were donated to Hospice of Oklahoma County. Dr. Bud Oehlert gave the welcome and Dr. Jay Cannon gave the “Don F. Rhinehart M.D. Medical Service Award” to Dr. James Michael Crutcher.

Among the 240 partygoers were Kathy and Dr. Larry Bookman, Debbie and Dr. Ron Sutor, Sharon and Dr. John Bozalis, Nina and Dr. Mukesh Parekh, Sherry and Dr. Gary Strebel, Jana Timberlake, Linda Larason, Debbie Adams, Carol and Dr. Jim Hampton, Dr. Teresa Shavney and Richard Knapp and Ann and Burns Hargis.
