PARTIES EXTRA: JULY 6, 2007- QUAIL SHOOT

PLAYING IN THE RAIN… Bud and Barbara Beeler and Cindy and Dick Homsey are at Quail Creek Golf and Country Club for the awards dinner dance after the annual Quail Shoot, the member-guest golf tournament.

Overall winners of the golfing event were Carter Hines and David Hines. The group played 18 holes (in the rain) on Thursday, 9 holes (in the rain) on Friday and 18 holes (in the rain) on Saturday. Bob Philbrick is the club general manager and Homsey is board president. David Deardeuff was tournament chairman.

The activities during the golf event included the practice round and horse race party, a cocktail party and luncheon and fashion show for the women.

SWEET CELEBRATION… Maj. Mike and Julie Benham and DeDe and Bob Benham celebrate at a reception at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country hosted by her parents Linda and Carl Miller and Linda and Duffy Watt and his parents, the Benhams. The couple got engaged last year in July. Very soon after that (two days later) he received military orders for Afghanistan where he flew F-15 airplanes.

They married immediately, but, he promised his new bride that when he returned from his Air Force duty that they would have a wedding. And they did. They said vows in the Sable Room of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club and then took to the dance floor downstairs.
