Gladys Tucker celebrated her 100th birthday at a small dinner party at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Her children, Suzanne Tucker and John Tucker were hosts.

There were mostly out- of -town family members and friends at the party including those from Washington, D.C., Iowa, Tenn., Ariz., Calif. and New York.

The birthday cake was a raspberry lemon cake decorated with roses and peach-colored icing. Spring bouquets of flowers decorated all the tables.

Tucker’s great- niece, Mary Beth Brown, Mesa, Ariz., played classical concert music for the guests.

People toasted the honoree’s contributions to their lives. Daughter Suzanne Tucker noted: “ She sees the potential in people and helps them live up to it.” She added, “101…Here she comes.”
