"A Tribute To Clendon Thomas" luncheon held at The Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City

A “Tribute To Clendon Thomas” luncheon was held honoring Thomas for his selection into the College Football Hall of Fame. The party was at The Petroleum Club.

Bob Barry sr. was the master of ceremonies and other speakers were Jay Wilkinson, J.D. Roberts, Bill Krisher, Kenny Mossman and Leon Cross. Committee members were Wilkinson, Greg Slavonic, Cross, Krisher and Chuck Bowman.

There were more than 400 people at the luncheon (it sold out quickly) including 25 former University of Oklahoma football teammates from 1955-57, and wife Soni Thomas, and Clendon’s third grade teacher, Eleanor Smith.

C.D. Northcutt, Ponca City, was recognized for being a 75- year OU season ticket holder.
