"New Moon" adds to cast
More casting news has come to light today for the upcoming “Twilight” sequel “New Moon.”
Fangoria.com is reporting that Carrier Talent Management has announced that one of its clients, actor Bronson Pelletier, has joined the cast in “a lead role.”
Pelletier’s IMDB credits are limited, but Canadian audiences might recognize him from the show Renegadepress.com. He also appeared on the Discovery Channel series “Dinosapiens.”
According to Fangoria, Carrier Talent released the following statement: “Congratulations to Bronson who scores a lead role in the highly anticipated ‘Twilight’ feature film sequel ‘New Moon’. It’s rumored he will be co-starring with Dakota Fanning.”
It’s unclear the specific role Pelletier will be playing, but since his IMDB page lists him as a Plain Cree native, he probably will portray one of the werewolf cohorts of Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). He looks a bit like what I pictured in my head for young werewolf Seth Clearwater.
“New Moon,” the second book in Stephenie Meyer’s mega-popular “Twilight” series, again follows heroine Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who is left heartbroken after her vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) leaves over concerns for her safety. Bella takes comfort in her friendship with family pal Jacob Black, a Quileute Indian who, along with other members of his tribe, turns out to be a werewolf.
