Darla Ross (Your Views, May 4) refers to the National Rifle Association and the Republican Party as bullies who the parents of Newtown, Conn., shooting victims stood up to regarding gun violence. Bullies? That's laughable considering President Obama's “bullyish” style in dealing with legislative opposition. Ross asked, “How can you trust a group, company or political party that would minimize a tragedy for money or power?” Minimization of tragedy for money or power? That would be the minimization — deception — about the cause of the Benghazi tragedy by Obama and his Democratic accomplices, in the quest for re-election and for money and power! I have to give Obama credit though: He did manage to keep one of his 2008 campaign promises. He promised a transparent administration and anyone with minimal intelligence can see right through it!

I trust the Republican Party with my life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. I trust the Democratic Party and this president with none of those things.
