Box Office Report for Weekend of June 25-27
This weekend at the box office brought some familiar results. Pixar continued its dominance, as Toy Story 3 became its fastest film ever to $200 million. Adam Sandler’s new film Grown Ups had a respectable opening, while Tom Cruise continued to have problems getting people into theaters with his new film Knight and Day. Still, it could be worse, as was demonstrated by the new comic book film Jonah Hex. It’s only in its second weekend in theaters and it’s already on its way out of the top ten (with less than $10 million made).
The box office totals for June 25-27, courtesy of IMDB:
1.) Toy Story 3 $59 million ($227 million)
2.) Grown Ups $41 million ($41 million)
