Since Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres are departing and word is that Kara DioGuardi is out as well, that has left Randy Jackson as the only permanent judge. Jennifer Lopez had leaked as a favorite to take over one of the seats on the panel, but then the deal seemed to fall apart as she made more and more demands. Now news has leaked that Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler, who was on the show's wish list of judges, has signed a contract to judge next season. The show's producer has said that there will be some official word within the next three weeks. No word yet on whether Lopez will end up on the show or if Kara may stay or if there will be a different person entirely filling the third seat on the panel. ---3D
