Here is a list of just a few of the great events going on this weekend around Oklahoma. There are many, many more at Seriously, this weekend is absolutely jam-packed, with fun spread out across our fair land. So, if you can’t find something to do, you must not be trying very hard.

6. Watch Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre’s production of Oklahoma playwright Tracey Letts’ Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “August: Osage County” at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Civic Center, 201 N Walker. Information: 848-3761 or

7. Laugh aloud as the Austin, Texas-based improv group The New Movement Theater makes its Oklahoma debut at 8 tonight at Ghostlight Theatre Club, 3110 N Walker. Oklahoma City duo Twinprov will open the show, part of OKC Improv’s fall run. Information: 343-1570 or

8. Celebrate Pistol Pete’s 87th birthday at the Oklahoma City Zoo with the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association on Sunday. Bring a pumpkin bigger then your head to the party and receive free zoo admission. Plus, all guests wearing Oklahoma State University school colors will enjoy cake with Pistol Pete at 2 p.m. in the Zoo’s Global Plaza while supplies last. For more information, visit
