Flaming Lips to headline Rifflandia Festival in British Columbia, Canada
The organizers of the fifth annual Rifflandia Festival have announced the final wave of artists for this year’s event, set for Sept. 13-16 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
According to a news release, 117 artists from Canada and around the world will descend on Victoria, making this year’s event the biggest Rifflandia Festival. Headliners include Oklahoma City-based psychedelic rockers The Flaming Lips, Cake, DJ Shadow, Best Coast, Dan Mangan, Everlast, Reggie Watts, Saul Williams, The Antlers, Band of Skulls, Austra, Chixdiggit!, Mother Mother, The Head & The Heart, The Jezabels, Doldrums and many more.
For the second year in a row, Royal Athletic Park will serve as the festival’s flagship venue from Friday-Sunday, where concert-goers can expect headlining performances on two stages, 10 food vendors, art installments and more.
Rifflandia again will host night venues throughout the city of Victoria, including the legendary Market Square, which will feature internationally acclaimed electronic artists such as DJ Shadow and Morgan Page. Also returning this year is ArtLandia, the War Child Lounge, Wristband Connect and the ever-delightful RifflandiaTV hosted by Christopher Vickers.
