Wednesday Video Spotlight: Carrie Underwood and Jimmy Fallon form c'rap duo Jim Carrie

Carrie Underwood Tulsa, OK

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood, who hails from Checotah, appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” last week and took the opportunity to show off her comedic chops alongside the show’s host.

Underwood and Fallon donned some outlandishly dated clothes to play a ’90s country-rap (or c’rap) duo named Jim Carrie. Their repertoire includes hip-hop classics like “Straight Outta Compton,” “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang” and “The Humpty Dance.”

Along with participating in the ridiculously funny c’rap routine, Underwood also belted her new hit single, “Blown Away,” the title track from her 2012 album.

Along with her new album, Underwood recently recorded the duet “Can’t Stop Loving You” with Steven Tyler for Aerosmith’s new album “Music from Another Dimension.”

The Oklahoma native will bring her “Blown Away Tour” to Tulsa’s BOK Center next Tuesday. For more information, go to www.bokcenter. To read my review of last month’s “Blown Away Tour” Oklahoma City stop, click here.
