Multiplatinum selling and award-winning recording artist Three Days Grace and multiplatinum rock band Shinedown announced today that a second leg of their co-headlining tour has been scheduled for the month of March with tickets going on sale this week.

The co-headlining tour was announced last month and kicks off Feb.1 at the iWireless Center in Moline, IL with P.O.D. as special guest on all dates, according to a news release.

The additional tour dates include a March 21 show at Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday. Tickets can be purchased at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at

Shinedown frontman Brent Smith said in the release, “Shinedown prides itself on always taking our live shows to the next level and giving our fans everything they want – honest, emotional, and incendiary performances. This tour is no exception. In fact, we’re raising the bar.”

Three Days Grace recently wrapped more than a dozen sold-out, intimate shows in celebration of their just released album “Transit of Venus” (RCA Records), which hit stores in October. In addition to debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, “Transit of Venus” debuted at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Music Chart and No. 4 on the Digital Albums Chart. The band is enjoying the longest-running No. 1 single of 2012 at mainstream and active rock radio formats, with “Chalk Outline” spending nearlythree  months at the top of the charts.

Three Days Grace embarks on new creative ground with “Transit of Venus,” recording for the first time with acclaimed producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead, Bullet for My Valentine). The video for their No. 1 single “Chalk Outline,” was directed by acclaimed lensman Shane Drake.

Shinedown is one of the most successful rock bands of the past 10 years, enjoying an unparalleled streak of hits. The band’s current album “Amaryllis” entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4 upon its release  and No. 1 on the Rock Album chart. With their latest single “Enemies” going to No. 1, all three of the album’s singles – which include “Bully” and “Unity”- have topped the rock radio chart.

Over the course of the band’s career, Shinedown has scored 17 No. 1 singles (including their current streak of nine consecutive No. 1 rock radio hits). The band’s ascendancy over multi-format rock radio commenced with their platinum-certified 2003 debut “Leave a Whisper,” its gold-certified 2005 follow-up, “Us and Them,” and 2008’s platinum-certified “The Sound of Madness.” Shinedown’s numerous national television appearances include performances on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Today Show,” CBS’ “The Early Show,” among others.

P.O.D. (Payable on Death) joins the tour in support of the band’s summer release, “Murdered Love” (Razor & Tie). The album sees the band reunited with long-time producer Howard Benson who also produced the band’s massive “Satellite” album along WITH hit albums for Kelly Clarkson, Theory Of A Deadman, Daughtry, and My Chemical Romance. P.O.D. ‘s first single off the album, “Lost In Forever” hit No. 1 at Active Rock Radio (No. 1 on BDS) and is their first-ever No. 1 single at the Active Rock format. The band’s second single, “Higher,” is currently in the top 25 at Active Rock. P.O.D. is on the road now through December with Daughtry and 3 Doors Down. P.O.D. formed in 1992 has logged a remarkable array of achievements, including worldwide sales exceeding 10 million and a series of chart topping radio hits. With a 15-year career under the band’s belt, P.O.D. has released seven studio albums, received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to numerous motion picture soundtracks, and toured the world over many times.
