Checotah native Carrie Underwood has been added to the list of performers for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

Underwood announced her performance on next month’s Grammys with a tweet that was then retweeted and confirmed through the Grammys’ official Twitter feed (@TheGRAMMYs).

“I am so excited to be performing on @TheGRAMMYs on Feb 10, on @CBSTweet ! #TheWorldIsListening,” Underwood tweeted (@carrieunderwood).

The country superstar will join previously announced performers Black Keys, FUN., Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift.

Two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J will return as host of the awards show, which will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 on CBS.

A five-time Grammy winner, Underwood is nominated this year for Best Country Solo Performance for the chart-topping title track to her 2012 album “Blown Away.”
