Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley to duet during the Grammy Awards; Elton John with Ed Sheeran, the Lumineers and Jack White also to perform

We’re learning more about country music superstar Miranda Lambert’s upcoming performance on the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

As previously reported, the Tishomingo resident revealed Tuesday on the CBS daytime show “The Talk” that she would perform on the Feb. 10 awards show. In a news release today, the network reveals that Lambert will join her current tourmate Dierks Bentley for a special performance on the Grammys.

Lambert and Bentley will bring their co-headlining “Locked and Reloaded Tour” to Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena on March 8. For more information, go to

In addition, current Grammy nominees the Lumineers and Jack White are set to perform, and Elton John and nominee Ed Sheeran will perform live together for the first time on this year’s Grammys broadcast, according to the release.

They join previously announced performers and nominees Checotah native Carrie Underwood, The Black Keys, FUN., Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and Taylor Swift. Two-time Grammy Award winner LL COOL J returns as host of the show.

The music industry’s premier event will take place from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network.

Previous Grammy winner Lambert has a nomination this year for Best Country Album for “Four The Record,” while Bentley has a nod for Best Country Solo Performance for “Home.”

A nine-time Grammy winner, White has three nominations: Album of the Year and Best Rock Album for “Blunderbuss” and Best Rock Song for “Freedom At 21.”

Two-time Grammy Award nominees the Lumineers are up for Best New Artist and Best Americana Album for “The Lumineers.”

First-time nominee Sheeran is up for Song of the Year for “The A Team.”
