Shelton co-hosted the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards and performed solo, in the star-studded opening number that included his bride and the closing number featuring R&B legend Stevie Wonder.

Lambert won a leading four trophies, including one she shared with her husband, and performed twice, counting the show opener.

In addition, Checotah native Carrie Underwood belted her latest chart-topper, and Owasso resident Garth Brooks teamed for the first time with fellow ACM Artist of the Decade George Strait.
