Vice President Joe Biden calls Kevin Durant to thank him for tornado relief efforts

Kevin Durant's generous contributions to tornado relief in Oklahoma haven't gone unnoticed.

Not by the people he helped, not by the NBA fans who adore him and not by the decision-makers in Washington D.C.

Vice President Joe Biden reportedly called the Oklahoma City star this week to thank Durant for his $1 million donation and other relief efforts.

"You're not only a great athlete, you're a great humanitarian. On behalf of all of us, thank you for your generosity," Biden wrote to Durant on Twitter.
