Flood warning continues in central Oklahoma as more storms could be ahead

A flood warning continues near the North Canadian River in the Harrah, Oklahoma area Monday. More thunderstorms are possible Monday and Tuesday.

More storms are possible in Oklahoma Monday afternoon through Tuesday.

A flood warning remains in effect for areas around Harrah, Oklahoma and the North Canadian River, the National Weather Service reports. The river has crested but the warning extends until Monday afternoon.

Storms could develop in western Oklahoma Monday afternoon and move east by Tuesday with heavy rain, hail and high wind possible.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 84. South, southeast wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Monday night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 65. South, southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south 19 to 24 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 89. South, southeast wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Tuesday night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 69. South, southeast wind 14 to 18 mph becoming east, northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy with a high near 86. Southeast wind 13 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Wednesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy with a low around 66. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 79.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 62.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 81.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 63.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 83.

Saturday night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 67.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 85.
