Douglass offensive lineman Mildren Montgomery didn’t waste much time making his college decision, verbally committing to Texas Tech just two weeks after the Red Raiders extended their scholrship offer to the 6-foot-5, 260-pound tackle.
Montgomery committed Monday night, as first reported by Rivals.com. Douglass coach Willis Alexander confirmed the news of the athletic senior who anchored the Trojans’ offensive line last season.
Montgomery also had an offer from North Texas, and had been getting attention from many other programs. He participated in Oklahoma’s camp over the weekend.
He is the second player from Oklahoma City to commit to Texas Tech and new coach Kliff Kingsbury, joining Millwood receiver Cameron Batson.
