The Oklahoma City Bounty Hunters' semi-pro football team will host the Denver Reign at 6 p.m. Saturday at Putnam City Stadium, NW 50 and Meridian. Tickets are $7, and all proceeds will go to tornado relief. The Bounty Hunters (2-2) feature several former local high school and state college players. Former Millwood standout Gerald Jones, who played collegiately at Tennessee, is a wide receiver for the Bounty Hunters.

OU TO PLAY IN EUROPE

The Oklahoma men's basketball team will spend 10 days in Europe playing exhibition basketball games. The games, scheduled in August, will be against teams from Europe's top-two professional divisions. The first game is scheduled Aug. 8 in Ghent, Belgium.

“The five games we play will be very beneficial, but probably more important are the 10 days of practice we'll get before we leave Oklahoma,” said Sooners coach Lon Kruger. “I think the guys are really looking forward to the whole experience.”

COACH LEAVES ST. GREGORY'S

Herman Burge, who coached the St. Gregory's University women's basketball team, has left the school to take a men's assistant position at Valdosta State (Ga.). The Cavaliers were 12-19 in one season under Burge. The former Carl Albert High School standout graduated from Valdosta State in 2007.
