Republican congressional candidate Markwayne Mullin released a poll on Wednesday showing him far ahead of his five opponents in the race for the GOP nomination in the 2nd District but well short of the support necessary to win without a run-off.
The primary is June 26. Mullin, of Westville, is facing George Faught, of Muskogee; Wayne Pettigrew, of McAlester; Dustin Rowe, of Tishomingo; Dwayne Thompson, of Fort Gibson; and Dakota Wood, or Claremore.
The poll, by the Oklahoma City-based Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates, Inc., surveyed 400 likely Republican voters in the eastern Oklahoma district on June 4 and 5 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.
Mullin was the choice of 30 percent of those surveyed and Faught came in second with 15 percent. Undecided led, with 34 percent. A candidate must get just over 50 percent to win without a run-off.

Here is the question about voting:

7. If the Republican primary election for U.S. Congress were held today, would you be voting for: (Rotate names)
George Faught ………………………………………..15%
Markwayne Mullin………………………………….30%
Wayne Pettigrew ……………………………………. 7%
Dustin Rowe………………………………………….. 6%
Dwayne Thompson ………………………………… 2%
Dakota Wood…………………………………………. 6%
Undecided (vol.)……………………………………..34%
