A Second White House Petition Filed to Allow Oklahoma to Secede from Union

Oklahoma has all its resources to be Independent. Windmpower are being put up, so why not? Texas is well on its way.

I have lived here my entire life if the borders in Texas open up IM sure there will still be plenty of people enforcing the border patrol its just that they will do it so it won't cost us in oklahoma money to ship the illegals back it will be a cost to the average shooter about a buck the price of a good soft point ! Now why do we need to give money out of every paycheck to the feds.when we don't agree with who the president is or what he does I was a small business person until Obama care now IM not can't afford to anymore !I love the military never served but they are not the only ones who defend this country it takes everyone everyday to defend this country I don't want to be apart of this so called union

Oh please.....the first time a series of devastating tornados ripped through the state and there are no federal funds to help them, they'd be begging to come back and re-unite. All of the programs in this state that rely on federal funds will be dried up and unavailable. It's a JOKE!! It will never happen! Once the politicians figure out how much it will affect their pocketbooks they will back off

Why the hell would we take a nation and separate it after so many people gave their lives for it. To keep us free as a nation" one nation under god" Oklahoma is a great state but just like every other state it has it's dim wits but to say some stupid krap like u just did Roy really doesn't make any better than the uneducated idiots trynna sign the petition. I figure if we had to put up with Bush Junior for 8 yrs then Repubs will just have to put up with Obama for 8 yrs. Poor babies....maybe next time they will come up with a candidate that won't alienate a good portion of the country.

1st of all it is ridiculous to want to leave the union. Lance we are not a taker state. If you consider the formula used benefits received to taxes paid it is very flawed. It doesn't consider median income. Generally the more income people make the more taxes they pay. California's medium income is 37 percent higher than Oklahoma meaning one could argue that they pay 37 percent more in taxes than Oklahoma making Oklahoma's ratio 37 percent higher than California's. You see the flaw! I encourage folks to put some thought into what these progressive groups are putting out there or any group for that matter whether it be liberal or conservative.
