GUTHRIE — Authorities arrested an Edmond man accused of soliciting sex from what he believed was a 15-year-old boy on Craigslist, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Michael Dean Osburn, 42, is accused of traveling to Guthrie to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex, according to OSBI. Members of the organization's crimes against children task force arrested Osburn Friday morning after a two-month investigation into his activities on Craigslist, according to an OSBI statement. An undercover agent had been communicating with Osburn, posing as a teen, said Bob Harshaw, OSBI spokesman.
Authorities arrested Osburn on Friday in the 200 block of Woodlawn Drive in Guthrie and took him to Logan County jail on a complaint of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act and solicitation of sexual conduct of a minor with the use of technology, the agency reported.
He remained in the jail Friday evening, a Logan County jail official said.
