Athletics: Coaches' All-State football as a senior. Two-time second-team Little-All City defensive end. Two-time honorable mention Little All-City track in the shot put. Also played basketball.

Academics: Grade point average of 3.9. Scored 24 on the ACT. National Honor Society vice president. Spanish National Honor Society.
