Two died and another is in critical condition after an early Saturday pickup crash in Cherokee County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 3:45 a.m., Ryan Molina, 22, of Tahlequah, was driving a pickup westbound on Petit Bay Road with five passengers — one in the cab and four in the bed.

The pickup was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the stop sign at Indian Road about six miles south of Tahlequah, troopers said. The pickup went into a slide and struck a tree, throwing all of the passengers out of the vehicle.

Michael Rogers, 14, and Paul Blevins Jr., 19, both of Tahlequah, died at the scene, troopers said.

Micah Holcomb, 18, also of Tahlequah, who was a passenger in the cab, was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Tulsa and admitted in critical condition.

Molina, who was wearing a seat belt, and two other passengers were taken by ambulance to a hospital, where they were treated and released, troopers said.
