NORMAN — Tulsa Union wide receiver Jeffery Mead committed to Oklahoma on Saturday, becoming the 10th member of the Sooners’ 2014 recruiting class.
Mead is the second wide receiver in the group, joining La Mirada, Calif., prospect Dallis Todd, and also the second Union player to commit to OU. Tight end Carson Meier committed last month.
Mead (6-foot-5, 175 pounds) also held offers from Arkansas, Clemson, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M, among others.
A three-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Mead is ranked No. 6 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30, ranking the top college football prospects in the class of 2014.
