ARCADIA — Sheriff's investigators are looking for two suspects in the fatal shootings of two brothers during a July Fourth family celebration.
Garrett Harjo, 20, of Arcadia, is the prime suspect in the killings, Sheriff John Whetsel said Friday.
Donald Scott, 34, and Diallo Scott, 39, were found dead in the street Thursday afternoon. Both men were shot in the back about 5 p.m. in the 100 block of W Fourth Street, Whetsel said.
Both men belonged to an Oklahoma City set of the Bloods street gang and had lengthy criminal records including convictions on drug, weapons and domestic violence charges, Whetsel said.
It appeared the killings started as a domestic incident at the Arcadia home of one of the Scotts' relatives, he said.
Harjo is thought to be traveling with a relative from Texas who accompanied him to the home where the shooting took place. The relative's name was not released. Both suspects were identified as members of a Crips gang.
Whetsel said investigators have interviewed numerous people who were at the scene when the shooting happened and have reviewed cellphone videos to identify potential witnesses.
The suspects are thought to be in a 1980s model brown Buick LeSabre with a light brown top and Oklahoma plates, Whetsel said.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
