— Owasso's Cameron Oliver has no shortage of Division I offers.

Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, New Mexico, Ohio, and Rutgers have all offered scholarships to the 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end.

The only problem, all of those schools are at least 400 miles away from home for the No. 22 player on The Oklahoman's class of 2014 Super 30 list.

“I'm waiting for more opportunities because I want to stay closer to home,” Oliver said. “I would say Rutgers is my No. 1 right now, but I don't really want to go 21 hours away. I'm keeping my options open as of now.”

Other options closer to home include Oklahoma State and Arkansas. But a couple of unlucky breaks for Oliver reduced the chances of those schools extending an offer.

“They (OSU) talked to me right after my junior season,” Oliver said. “But they don't use a tight end anymore. They're looking for smaller and quicker guys, which I can't compete with.
