EUFAULA — An Oklahoma City man’s body was found Saturday evening after a hit-and-run boat collision July 4 on Lake Eufaula, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The body of Gary McInnich, 55, was found about 7 p.m. Saturday in 17 feet of water about a mile east of Eufaula Cove, troopers said. He had been missing since the accident about 10:10 p.m. Thursday, troopers said.

A white and dark color ski boat was traveling about 30 mph and struck two boats that were anchored about 400 yards north of Sherwood Point. The anchored boats were displaying proper lighting, but the ski boat struck the bow of one boat, went airborne and landed on the second boat.

The ski boat then left the scene, troopers said.

There were 13 people on the two boats and one person swimming nearby. Most were not injured, troopers said.
