Ken Eastman named interim dean of Oklahoma State University business school

Eastman will take over for Larry Crosby, who announced his resignation in June after three years as dean.

— Oklahoma State University has named Ken Eastman interim dean of its Spears School of Business.

Eastman will take over for Larry Crosby, who announced his resignation in June after three years as dean.

“I am humbled and honored to serve the Spears School as interim dean,” Eastman said in a statement. “We have a great group of faculty, staff and students and I look forward to working with them as we continue the momentum we have going.”

Eastman has been a part of the business school faculty since 1989, serving as head of the Department of Management since 2003.

He will take over as interim dean of the Spears School on Thursday.

Eastman earned his bachelor's and master's degree from Iowa State University.

He received his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the University of Nebraska in 1990.

Eastman has presented more than 200 seminars on leadership and performance management and has spoken before groups, including the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the Williams Cos. and Chesapeake Energy Corp.
