Fraud suspect pays for court-ordered fingerprints with stolen credit card

MASON, MI — Ingham County Sheriff Gene Wriggelsworth called it a case of one of the world's dumbest criminals, according to MLive.

A 28-year-old man charged with fraud arrived at the Sheriff's Office Central Records Unit in Mason Thursday to submit to court-ordered fingerprints stemming from a charge of fraud in Ingham County District Court.



The man, of Ingham County, tried to use a credit card to pay for the $16 cost. But when the office staff ran the card, it came back reported as stolen, according to Wriggelsworth.
