Roughtail ramps up for first bottled offering

Up until now, if you wanted to sip on a beer from Roughtail, you had to head out to the nearest bar or pub that carries its beers on tap.

But that is about to change, as Roughtail is expected to enter the bottle market, possibly as early as the end of the month.

The Midwest City brewery plans to release more than 2,000 750 bottles of this:

Hoptometrist Double IPA (nice label!) will be a 9% ABV brew that checks in at more than 100 IBUs, Roughtail brewmaster Tony Tielli said.

“We used five kinds of American hops and kept the malt bill simple to let the focus remain on those hops,” Tielli said.

He said the brewery will provide updates later this month about a specific release date and locations that will carry the bottles.
