Name of man killed in southern Oklahoma released Friday by highway patrol

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the name of a southern Oklahoma fatality. A man was lying in the roadway when he was run over.

A Catoosa woman died in a wreck Friday afternoon and a man killed while lying on a Johnston County road was identified by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Shirley Green, 58, of Catoosa

About 1 p.m., Green was driving east on a Tulsa County road when she failed to yield from a stop sign and her car was struck by a pickup on the driver's side door, according to a highway patrol report.

Green died at a hospital, troopers said. The driver of the pickup was not hurt.

Sampson Joshua Tyson, 32, of Tishomingo

Tyson was killed early Thursday in the southbound lane of U.S. 377 south of Connerville in Johnston County when a vehicle ran over him as he was lying in the roadway, the patrol reports.
