Daughter is accused in death of her Del City father

The daughter of an Oklahoma City man strangled in March has been arrested in his death, police said. Angelina Maria Davis, 18, of Del City, has been jailed on a murder complaint in the death of Jay Haskel Davis, 77. Davis died of ligature strangulation and his death has been ruled a homicide, said Amy Elliott, state medical examiner spokeswoman. Angelina Davis was found Thursday at a residence in Del City and was arrested by officers from the Oklahoma City gang unit, police said. She was taken to the Oklahoma County jail. Police found Jay Davis dead March 24 at his home at 113 SE 17.

Suspect is sought in apartment shooting

An arrest warrant was issued Friday for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at Rockwell Terrace Apartments. Police are seeking Antwion Courtez Martin, 20, in the fatal shooting of Edmond James Tyree, 48, and the wounding of a second man. Tyree was found shot to death Wednesday night on the living room floor of his apartment at 524 N Rockwell Ave., according to an affidavit. Michael Joe Hale, 47, of Oklahoma City, survived gunshot wounds to his right arm and side. He told investigators three men walked into Tyree's apartment and demanded the victims' phones; one man had a handgun, Hale said. After Tyree said he recognized the armed man, the man shot each victim once, according to the affidavit. Hale identified Martin as the shooter from a Facebook photo, according to the affidavit.

Man, 28, accused of living with 15-year-old girl

An El Reno man accused of engaging in a long-term sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl is in Canadian County jail with bail set at $185,000. Joseph Hill, 28, was arrested July 11 after state Department of Human Services workers alerted sheriff's investigators that Hill had sent a text message containing a nude photograph of the victim to various people, including the girl, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. The girl told investigators she and Hill had been in a sexual relationship since she was 12, and that Hill had provided drugs to her on a regular basis, including marijuana, alcohol and methamphetamines, according to the news release. She told deputies the two slept, showered and lived together as a married couple. According to the news release, Hill submitted to a polygraph test administered by a federal agent and confessed to illegal acts with the minor child. The girl's mother confessed to allowing Hill and her daughter to carry on the illegal sexual relationship in her home, concealing it from DHS and law enforcement, and buying condoms for the two, the news release states. The mother also was arrested with bail set at $10,000.
